The Greenfield Township Road Department is responsible for maintaining 35.46 miles of township roads, which consist of all the roads except state highways and county roads. The superintendent with the assistance of one-full time employee and seasonal employees ensure that the township roads remain in good condition.  The department prides itself on maintaining safe road conditions year round, having the equipment necessary to handle the worst of Ohio’s winters.

OUR SERVICES

Some of the services which the Road Department provides include:

  • Maintenance and rejuvenation of paved roads
  • Tree and brush trimming within road right-of-way
  • Roadside ditch cleaning, grading, mowing
  • Culvert maintenance and replacement
  • Maintenance of cemetery drives
  • Guardrail and sign maintenance
  • Erosion control and snowplowing

RIGHT OF WAY

The standard condition at the roadside is an open drainage ditch.  Any installation of pipe or other structure within the right-of-way, other than a driveway culvert, requires permission from the Road Superintendent.
